Sy. Holmes was born in Fort Benning, Georgia in 1987, the fifth son of Army war-vet, Dana Holmes, and his wife, Elaine. Throughout his youth, he wrote poetry and multiple short stories, and even a screenplay in his teenage years. He joined the United States Navy as an Air Traffic Controller in 2011, and began writing his first novel while on deployment in 2019. In addition to completing his debut novel in 2020, he started his publishing LLC, House LeBella.

 

Sy. lives in Virginia with his wife, Blair Holmes, and two daughters, Cataleya Marie and Isabella Skye.
